Readiness
Stage 02 · 4 readsThere is no fixed amount of practice, but there are criteria you can check yourself against. This stage teaches no operations — it is about judging where you stand, and why your demo return is the wrong gauge.
Your demo return is the wrong gauge, so use these three instead
Operate without notes, read your own fills, explain a loss as a decision. The third is the real gate.
Winning on demo, losing live: usually these four things
Position proportion, fees, fill prices and nerves. Three of them can be handled before funding anything.
A practice log worth keeping: five numbers per trade
Demo gives you no export, so the record is yours to make. A month of it shows where you keep losing.
Win rate or reward-to-risk ratio: which to check first in your demo log
Work out actual R and your break-even win rate from the log, take fees out, then decide whether exits or entries come first.
How to write a trading plan: a four-line card before each Binance order
One card per trade, exits written as the stop and limit prices you would type in, then checked box by box against the fills.
Where next
Next stage: the first real tradeWith all three ticked, the question stops being "can I do this" and becomes "how much" — a separate problem.
Readiness checklist
The three tests as twelve boxes.
How much for the first trade
Backwards from the loss you can absorb.
Switching day checklist
Five checks before you press confirm.
