Risk notice and scope

Crypto asset prices move sharply and you can lose your entire stake. With leveraged products, a sufficiently adverse move triggers forced liquidation and the loss can be the whole margin. Everything on this site is written on that basis.

What this site is

Teaching and operating explanation: where a feature lives, what a parameter means, what an error message usually indicates, how a cost is calculated.

What it is not

  • Not investment advice. We do not assess your finances, risk tolerance or objectives, and we are not qualified to.
  • Not a promise of returns. Every worked example here is an illustration derived from a stated formula; none predicts or guarantees anything.
  • Not legal or tax advice. The legal standing and tax treatment of crypto assets vary widely by jurisdiction.
  • Not an official platform statement. Platform rules are whatever the exchange currently publishes; the months we cite mark when we looked.

Regional differences

Some jurisdictions restrict holding, trading or promoting crypto assets, certain features may be unavailable where you are, and some activity may itself be regulated. Check the rules that apply to you before acting. We give no jurisdiction-specific compliance opinion and publish no country list — such lists go stale, and a stale list is worse than none.

About the tools

All four tools calculate in your own browser, need no internet connection and have no exchange's current parameters built in. Their output is arithmetic from the formulas printed on each page, meant to help you understand cost and parameter structure. They are not recommendations about any particular trade; change the assumptions and the answer changes.

Where responsibility sits

What you do on an exchange, in a wallet, or with any third-party service is yours. This site holds no funds, touches no account, asks for no credentials, and cannot reverse anything you have done.

We try to be accurate, but platform rules change often and we will sometimes be behind. Where this page and the official page disagree, the official page wins — and we would like to hear about it; confirmed errors are fixed and logged in corrections.

Impersonation

We never contact you first, never ask for account details, passwords, codes, recovery phrases or funds, and never operate an account on anyone's behalf. Anyone claiming otherwise in our name is not us.
